Olmos Park Physio is a one-on-one physical therapy practice focused on helping runners, cyclists, endurance athletes, and active adults stay healthy, active, and moving forward.

Founded and operated by Dr. Will Gonzaba, the practice is intentionally designed around personalized care, thoughtful problem solving, and long-term relationships—not rushed appointments or cookie-cutter treatment plans.

The goal is simple: help people better understand their bodies, continue doing the activities they love, and build a sustainable path toward long-term health and performance.

PT, DPT, Founder of Olmos Park Physio

I'm a physical therapist, endurance athlete, educator, and entrepreneur based in San Antonio.

Over the years, I've competed across multiple endurance disciplines, including triathlon, trail running, road cycling, mountain biking, and endurance racing. Those experiences have given me a firsthand understanding of the challenges that come with balancing training, recovery, injury, work, family, and everyday life.

Before founding Olmos Park Physio, I served as a professor of Exercise and Sport Science at St. Mary's University, where I taught courses in orthopedics, biomechanics, and sports injury management. Today, I combine that academic background with years of clinical experience to help active people navigate injury, improve performance, and continue doing the things they love.

Why I Chose a Smaller Practice

I'm no longer trying to be the right fit for everyone.

I'm focused on being the right fit for the people who truly value this style of care.

Olmos Park Physio originally started as a solo practice centered around one-on-one care for runners, cyclists, and active adults.

Like many small businesses, over time I tried to grow it—expanding services, increasing availability, and building something larger.

And while I'm grateful for that season of growth, it clarified something important for me: The work I enjoy most isn't managing a large clinic. It's working directly with people.

It's the conversations, the problem solving, the long-term relationships, and helping someone navigate the bigger picture of health, training, recovery, and performance.

This realization ultimately led me back to a smaller, more intentional model.

Today, Olmos Park Physio is designed around one-on-one care for people who value detailed guidance, individualized planning, and a collaborative approach to long-term health and performance.

How I Think About Recovery & Performance

Most injuries in runners, cyclists, and active adults aren't solved through treatment alone.

In my experience, the biggest drivers of long-term success are:

  • Training load management

  • Strength and movement habits

  • Recovery

  • Sleep

  • Stress management

  • Consistency

  • Understanding how all of those factors interact together

That's why my approach often looks different than traditional physical therapy.

Rather than creating dependency on frequent visits, I focus on helping clients build the knowledge, systems, and confidence to make meaningful progress between appointments.

Sessions are centered around assessment, education, progression, and strategy.

The goal isn't simply to help you feel better for a few days. The goal is to help you stay active for years.

If you're looking for a collaborative approach that combines expert evaluation, movement strategy, performance guidance, and long-term planning, you'll feel right at home here.
