Summer Reset

The summer is officially upon us!

I don't know about you, but for years I have struggled with training through the summer...mainly because I absolutely HATE Texas summers. Well last summer, I made a commitment to embrace our crazy hot weather, and train outside more despite our ridiculous temperatures.

I told myself, "Well, it's never going to get any cooler, so might as well get use to it." And I did, while learning a lot in the process too.

I learned that slowly exposing yourself to heat, helped to build tolerance.

I learned that hydrating more than I thought I needed to before the workout, made recovery easier.

I learned that I could drink an entire jar of pickle juice after an afternoon run :D

I learned that embracing Texas heat made me a better athlete. Not everyone gets to the privilege of training in 100+ degree weather, but we do, and that's what makes us strong.... at least that's what I tell myself now.

Many of you are laying down the ground work for races in the late summer / Fall, and now is the perfect time to embrace the process of training and address your limiting factors.

We have two programs that many of our clients have loved, and have found them wildly beneficial in their training.

1) Run Strong Program: The first session of this program is a run analysis to provides an in-depth assessment of your run form. The session includes three parts: 1) A discussion of your goals and history with running 2) a run specific movement analysis 3) a treadmill run analysis. After the session we will create we will create a six-week strength training program for you and schedule two follow up performance sessions to measure improvements and make progressions to your plan.

2) The Bike Body Program: The first session of this program is a bike fit and movement analysis. After the bike fit, we will create a six-week strength training program for you and schedule two follow up performance sessions to measure improvement and make progressions to your plan.

If you're interested in either of these program, you can request an appointment below or reply to this email asking for more info!

As always, I appreciate your support of our company and our mission.
